During this special event, Lavizzo will provide each participating man with a children’s book to read and share with our students. We’ll also feature a guest speaker who will deliver an inspiring message about the power of mentorship, literacy, and community leadership. Every year, fathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and community leaders join us to make this experience unforgettable. Your presence reminds our scholars that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by men who care deeply about their growth and success.

More details and RSVP information will be shared soon; but for now, please mark your calendar and plan to join us for a meaningful morning of reading, reflection, and connection. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. DeBellotte, Assistant Principal, at nsdebellotte@cps.edu. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Lavizzo for another unforgettable Real Men Read event!

    Warm regards,
    Ms. Shavon DeBellotte
