Chi Lambda Lambda?

Founded in December 2004, Chi Lambda Lambda has made a significant impact across the South Suburbs of Chicagoland. Chartered in Matteson, Illinois, the chapter has established Mentoring Programs from Harvey to South Holland.

Every year, Turkey Basket Day feeds those most in need. When disaster has struck — Haiti in 2010, Alabama in 2011 — Chi Lambda Lambda mobilized Chicago-area Omegas and community partners to deliver aid within days.

2004 Founded
Matteson, Illinois
July 2004
Three brothers — Bro. John Ball, Bro. Terry Chambers, and Bro. Thomas Vaughn — convene to organize a chapter serving the South Suburbs.
December 7, 2004
The Supreme Council approves the Charter Petition. Chi Lambda Lambda is officially born.
January 29, 2005
Formal Charter Ceremony at VKMI Headquarters. 37th Grand Basileus Bro. George H. Grace presides. The Tenth District Representative presents the Charter to Basileus Bro. John Ball.
2010 – 2011
Chapter mobilizes Chicago-area Omegas for Haiti earthquake relief (2+ tons) and Alabama tornado recovery in partnership with New Faith Baptist Church and Clintex Labs.
2017 – Present
Host of the 80th Tenth District Convention. 42+ brothers initiated. Members serving as District State Representative and 38th Tenth District Representative.
